Every three years, this association organizes an international conference bringing together leading experts in the human-animal relationship. After Japan in 2007, it was the turn of Sweden to host this prestigious appointment.
The 12th edition of the International Conference on the Relationship between Man and Animal therefore be held from 1 to 4 July 2010 in Stockholm.

In fact, pets are increasingly present in homes and occupy an essential place in the family unit. A large segment of the population is affected by interactions between Man and Animal and whatever the age of the owners, gender or social status. "Source AFIRAC.

This animal close to us is instrumental in ensuring the balance of existence. They are both precious our companions, our food, our therapies. Unfortunately, for a continent like Africa, where the usefulness of the animal is well established, the respect and attention they should be granted is almost inexstente. Africa marks thus far behind compared to the West, who has given to the animals, all the consideration they deserve. Better late than never, therefore sparking massive membership to the association members, through educational talks you trade in the company of experts, the perception that we Africans bear on these other animals, without which our lives would be without flavor change. Strongly that such an association radiates its tentacles in Cameroon, my country. Very respectfully yours. Your prompt response is awaited. Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your message and your interest. We, recently, in the Bordeaux region organized a talk with women from different cultural and mainly African. We discussed the cultural performances involving animals, and it was a very rich exchange. I'd like to devote a post soon but not enough time!
I bounce on one of your sentences: the West does it really give the animals all the consideration they deserve?
I suggest you directly contact IAHAIO for questions you are addressing.
You can tell them your thoughts at this address.
