As part of the creation of his service for the Promotion of Mediation Canine within the social, health and medico-social Association ACT AND GROWING TOGETHER offers, in partnership with the IRTS and CREAI of Lorraine, a day Activities on the theme of the Animal Combining with people in situations of fragility.

This conference will be held November 12, 2008 in Nancy.

This first day of training, information exchange and testimony will be devoted to activities involving the one often referred to as "Man's Best Friend" or even "faithful companion" dogs.

What are the mechanisms that come into play when the child is in contact with a pet? How is this close contact can help the child grow, organize, develop their potential and cognitive psycho?
What the dog is there a preferred partner AAA programs?
What types of activities are already established on national territory?
What impact among the various audiences who benefit (elderly, children and adults with disabilities, public in serious social and family)?
What are the essential elements and precautions to be taken into account in projects where the animal?

These questions will be addressed during the day during which stakeholders will succeed to testify about their experiences and practices in this area.

PROGRAM

PROFESSOR HUBERT MONTAGNER: Doctor of Science, Professor, Former Director of Research at INSERM.

10 h 00 The dog: a partner in activities involving animals.

DIDIER VERNAY DOCTOR: Neurologist, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University Hospital of Clermont Ferrand, President of the AFIRAC (French Association for Information and Research on the pet), President of The ARDRA (Association for research and development of rehabilitation in Auvergne), founding member of the FITRAM (International Federation of therapies and helping relationships through mediation).

11h 00 Jordan and his dog Oscar: mediation canine as an aid to the restructuring of the child.

MRS CHRISTINE HALLEY: Mom of Jordan. Founder and Director of the Association Oscare Calvados (canine social organization of restructuring aid to the child).

11:15 BREAK.

11h 45 Presentation of the host Oscare.

The educational and pedagogical activities involving animals (dogs, horses, and others) on a daily basis with young people in serious social and behavioral.

12 h 15 The dog arousal: role and competence. Applications for children with autism. Demonstration with a golden retriever dog. ROBERT MRS CLAUDINE: nursing manager, responsible for training the IFSI (Institute of Nursing Education), Nancy.

14 h 30 The impact of activities involving dogs with people with Alzheimer's disease.

MR PETER RYBARZYK: ethologist, Dogs Association & Company - Clermont Ferrand (subject - in case of unavailability, the presentation will be made by Dr. VERNAY).

15 h 30 Cynothérapie in adult psychiatric ward closed.

MR ERIC TRIVELLIN, Nurse at the Hospital of Mulhouse.

16 h 30 PAUSE.

17 h 00 Daily work Praline: a dog in contact with users of nursing homes.

MR KAUFMANN, Director of IME (medical-educational institute) in Alsace chronicling his experiences in both structures (EMI and nursing home), knowing that he works every day accompanied by his faithful labrador bitch, each providing its own tasks according a separate schedule.

NB: Please note limited places.
* Written cancellations sent to Lorraine CREAI before October 30, 2008 will be refunded the registration fee, however the sum of 50 € will be retained. A change of participant will be possible upon written request addressed to CREAI before November 6, 2008.
* A certificate of attendance and payment of conference registration fees will be given to each participant in the late afternoon.
